AI Driven Clinical Communication

The Know-Center is Austria's leading research centre for data-driven business and artificial intelligence (AI) based in Graz. As an innovation driver between science and industry, and non-profit organisations, we offer application-oriented research in cooperation with academic institutions and partners from industry. Our long-standing research activities range from the analysis of business processes, the analysis of data sources, comprehensive and comprehensive data analyses, the application and improvement of AI models to the evaluation and interpretation of results. In the SimplifAI project, the Know-Center contributes its expertise in the processing of German-language texts in the medical domain; specifically in the areas of (i) Privacy-Preserving Natural Language Processing (NLP) and (ii) Text Simplification."

The Medical University of Graz comprises four research centres including independent preclinical institutes, 19 university clinics and one clinical institute. There are currently 490 clinical trials registered as ongoing, around 440 research projects are being carried out and around 2800 scientific publications are published each year.

With over five thousand students, FH JOANNEUM is the university of applied sciences for the skills of the future in Styria. The six departments (Applied Computer Science; Building, Energy and Society; Engineering; Health Studies; Management; Media and Design) address social issues in order to open up new living environments. The aim is to make young people fit and courageous for the future.

‘IT with care’ is what x-tention has stood for for almost 25 years. We harmonise and integrate different IT systems in the healthcare sector so that our customers can concentrate fully on their core business. At 16 locations, almost 800 employees of the x-tention group of companies successfully support more than 1,000 customers in the areas of consulting, software development, data science, delivery, managed services and cybersecurity.
